The caregiver's leadership

What are the #skills that we develop, enhance, improve, and truly make our own during the period of caregiving? The #leadership skills!

Many women, especially new mothers, are led to believe that they have "taken a vacation," that they are "less focused" because they are distracted by thoughts of their children at home, that they are "less capable than before" because the brain changes during pregnancy and caregiving (which is also true but is perceived as a disadvantage), that they are "less reliable" because they are trying to find a new balance between life and work, and so on.

Our brain becomes more porous, agile, and ready to learn knowledge and skills when we experience something new. It expands. This also happens to fathers, of course. It happens to all those who find themselves taking care of someone else.

We can transform caregiving, even though it is often very tiring and painful with its baggage of obligations and burdens, into an advantage in our learning process.

I would like to thank Martina Borsato and Lifeed again for this valuable interview.
