Coach for breakfast, the podcast

How did the idea of the podcast come about?

I knew I wanted to live abroad since I was little: at 15, like many teenagers of my generation, my destination was Africa. But the rest of the world was fine too. When I managed to undertake internships abroad or for international organizations, however, I did not find myself in those values, the distance from the people and the reality that I wanted to live was too much. Training was not in my programs, yet I found myself almost immediately, obviously in that idea of idealized training and in which, even today, I believe: that is, a real personal growth, an attempt to elevate oneself by asking questions and looking for the answers through books, articles and experiences shared with others. 5 years ago, when my husband and I started planning life abroad, the need was to find a school system, an environment more suitable for the growth of small human beings. I haven't regretted this choice yet, although expat life (as they say here) is harder than I thought. Among many things, actually not so many (maybe the standing coffee at the bar, the focaccia and, of course, shared idioms), which I really miss is my job and the sharing of experiences and stories. This is how last year I found myself writing the first episode of the podcast and, then, the draft of the index of the various episodes and, then, buying a microphone suitable for recording. Through my voice, the research I do, the ideas and the books, I try to share information, stories, experiences and ideas that can help even from a distance those who are looking for answers and ways to find these answers within themselves..
